Privacy Policy

Last updated: June 4, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how the Wallorbit Android application ("Wallorbit", "the app", "we", "us"), operated by Akash Modak (Sole Proprietor, India), handles information when you use the app. By installing or using Wallorbit, you agree to this policy.

Wallorbit is a free, ad-supported app that provides wallpapers and home-screen widgets. You do not need an account to browse, download, or set wallpapers. We have designed the app to collect as little personal information as possible.

1. Information we collect

a) Advertising & device data (via Google AdMob). Wallorbit shows ads through Google AdMob. To serve ads, Google collects your device's Advertising ID along with limited device and usage information (such as device type, OS version, coarse region, and ad interactions). This is processed by Google as described in the Google Privacy & Terms.

b) Network logs. When the app fetches wallpapers and the content list from our servers, standard technical logs (e.g. IP address, timestamp) may be processed by our hosting and content-delivery providers for security and reliability.

c) Optional Google sign-in. Signing in is optional and only used for features that need it (such as syncing favorites or, in future, uploading content). If you choose to sign in, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture from Google (scopes: openid, email, profile). We never access your contacts, Gmail, Drive, or any other Google data.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, microphone, camera, or files (other than writing a wallpaper you choose to download into your gallery).

2. How we use information

  • To show ads that keep the app free (via AdMob).
  • To deliver wallpapers and widget content to your device.
  • To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the app.
  • To process one-time purchases (see "Purchases" below).
  • If you sign in: to create and manage your optional account.

3. Advertising & your choices

Ads are provided by Google AdMob. You can limit ad personalization or reset your Advertising ID at any time in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads. In the EEA/UK and other applicable regions, we show a Google-certified consent prompt (UMP) and only request ads consistent with your choice. Learn more in the AdMob data disclosure.

4. Purchases

Wallorbit may offer a one-time in-app purchase (for example, "Remove ads / unlock all"). Payments are processed entirely by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your card or payment credentials. Refunds are handled per Google Play's refund policy.

5. Permissions we request

  • Internet — to download wallpapers and load ads.
  • Advertising ID — required by AdMob to show ads.
  • Set wallpaper — to apply a wallpaper to your home/lock screen.
  • Storage (Android 9 and below only) — to save a wallpaper you choose to download into your gallery. On Android 10+ no storage permission is needed.

6. Sharing of information

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the app:

  • Google AdMob — advertising.
  • Google Play Billing — purchase processing.
  • Cloudflare R2 & Railway — image hosting, content delivery, and server infrastructure.
  • Google Sign-In — only if you choose to sign in.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights and users' safety.

7. Data retention & deletion

Because Wallorbit works without an account, we hold no personal profile for most users. Advertising data is retained by Google per its policies. If you have signed in with Google, you can delete your account data at any time by emailing us (below) or revoking access at the Google Account permissions page; we delete associated data promptly upon request.

8. Children's privacy

Wallorbit is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Ads are configured for a general audience. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures (HTTPS/TLS in transit, least-privilege access, and no server-side storage of secrets in the app). However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
